Anderson Furniture Factories
The Anderson Furniture Factories were owned and operated by Canadian Furniture Manufacturers. They covered 25 acres and were the largest furniture factory in Canada. They made office and house furniture, baby carriages and carts. The Prince of Wales, later [to become in 1910] King George V, ordered a baby carriage, the style chosen bearing his name, from Andersons for Prince Henry of York.This was the corner of mill and Main Street where bowling alley is now at that time it took up 25 acres
