Richardsons Soap Works It was on the north east corner of Kent and Dundas in 1860. By 1890 and the name was changed to Richardsons Pure Soap “the factory produced 5,500.000 tons of laundry soap” under different names White Star, London Electric were a few of the popular brands across America. Boys ,Girls and Adults in 1910 used to save the soap wrappers, 15 soap wrappers was good for a five cent ticket at the Griffin Theater in downtown Woodstock (Capital show) on Monday ,Thursday night and Saturday’s matinee. In the 1990's this building changed again and as you can see in the picture it may not look familiar to you. The upper two floors were taken off the building. But the lower two floors are still in existence and now house’s Aden shoes.
